Proposed RevisionDTP/DTaP Vaccine Information Materials

Under section 2126 of the Public Health Service Act, the CDC must develop vaccine information materials which health care providers are required to provide to patients/parents prior to administration of specific vaccines. CDC proposes to revise the vaccine information materials pertaining to diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis vaccines so that they reflect the recent Food and Drug Administration (FDA) licensure of an acellular pertussis vaccine combined with diphtheria and tetanus toxoids (DTaP) for administration to infants as young as 2 months of age. CDC seeks written comment on these proposed materials.
