NMFS Extends Comment Period for Commercial and Recreational Atlantic Shark Fisheries Management Measures

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is extending the comment period for proposed revisions to commercial and recreational Atlantic shark fisheries management measures until May 29, 2026, in response to requests from the Gulf Fishery Management Council, the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission, and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for additional public comment opportunities.
