Medicare Program; Update of Ambulatory Surgical Center Payment Rates Effective for Services on or After October 1, 1996

The Social Security Act requires an automatic inflation adjustment to Medicare payment amounts for ambulatory surgical center services, starting October 1, 1996, to reflect actual costs incurred by ASCs.
