Delivery of the Canadian Entitlement Under the Columbia River Treaty

The US Entity, comprising the Administrator of the Bonneville Power Administration and the Division Engineer of the US Army Corps of Engineers, has decided to fulfill its obligation under the 1961 Columbia River Treaty by delivering Canada's Entitlement to the border between Washington and British Columbia, starting April 1, 1998. This move will not require new transmission facilities, but may accelerate cross-Cascades transmission in the US as early as 2005.
