EPA Issues Final Rule to Adjust Civil Monetary Penalties for Inflation

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued a final rule to adjust its civil monetary penalties for inflation, as mandated by the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, to maintain the deterrent effect of its penalties and keep pace with inflation.
