Nuclear Regulatory Commission Extends Comment Period for Generic Letter on Steam Generator Tube Integrity

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has extended the comment period for a proposed generic letter on the importance of performing comprehensive examinations of steam generator internals to ensure the structural integrity of steam generator tubes, originally set to expire on January 30, 1997, after receiving a request from the Nuclear Energy Institute for a 45-day extension.
