Aerospace Safety: FAA Issues Airworthiness Directive for ATR42 Series Airplanes

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued an airworthiness directive requiring the removal and replacement of landing gear attachment pins on certain Aerospatiale Model ATR42 series airplanes to prevent potential collapse of the main landing gear.
