Bureau of the Census Amends Regulations to Exempt Company-Owned Tools of Trade from Shipper's Export Declaration Requirements

The Bureau of the Census has amended the Foreign Trade Statistics Regulations to include an exemption for exporters who must file a Shipper's Export Declaration (SED) for temporary exports of company-owned tools of trade, software, and equipment accompanying employees or representatives, provided they remain outside the country for less than a year.
