Oregon State Plan Approval and Changes in Federal Enforcement

Oregon OSHA has approved a state-initiated plan change, assuming federal OSHA enforcement authority over private sector establishments, including tribal enterprises, on Umatilla Indian Reservation lands and lands held in trust by the Federal government for the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla. The approval also includes changes to federal enforcement jurisdiction in Oregon, including worker protection at Superfund sites and private contractors on U.S. Army bases.
