FCC Adopts New Policy on International Accounting Rates

The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has adopted a new policy allowing US carriers to negotiate alternative settlement payment arrangements with foreign correspondents in countries that meet the Commission's economic competitive opportunity (ECO) test. The new policy aims to promote market-oriented pricing and competition while preventing abuse of market power.
