US Department of Commerce Establishes Rules for 800 MHz Small Radio Service (SMR) Systems

The US Department of Commerce has finalized rules for the 800 MHz Small Radio Service (SMR) systems, resolving issues raised in a previous notice and completing the process with technical and operational rules for the lower 230 channels, enabling geographic area licensing of the service and promoting competition and flexibility for SMR licensees.
