FCC Approves Local Radio Services for Tatum, NM, Denies Request for Hobbs, NM

The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has approved Channel 296C for Tatum, New Mexico, as the community's first local aural transmission service, while denying a request from Great Plains Broadcasting Co., Inc. to allot Channel 279A to Hobbs, New Mexico. The allotments are subject to certain restrictions and require Mexican concurrence.
