Federal Prison Industries (FPI) Inmate Work Programs: Sick Call Status

In this document, the Bureau of Prisons is amending its rule on Federal Prison Industries (FPI) Inmate Work Programs to clarify the definition of ``FPI Work Status'' with respect to an inmate on sick call or on medical idle. An inmate on sick call during assigned hours is now considered to be in FPI work status. This amendment is intended to provide for administrative consistency in the operation of FPI inmate work assignments. The proviso pertinent to an inmate on medical idle due to an FPI work-related injury has been reworded for clarity of cross reference.
