Medicare Program; Contracts With Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs) and Competitive Medical Plans (CMPs) Clarification and Updates

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has updated the HCFA regulations to clarify and refine the requirements for Medicare contracts with Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs) and Competitive Medical Plans (CMPs), including enrollment, entitlement, and disenrollment procedures, as well as changes in ownership or facility leasing.
