EPA Proposes Administrative Penalty for Clean Water Act Violations, Seeks Public Comment

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is providing notice of a proposed administrative penalty for alleged Clean Water Act violations and is seeking public comment on the proposed penalty. The proposed penalty, which could reach up to $25,000, is authorized under section 309(g) of the Act and is subject to the Consolidated Rules of Practice Governing the Administrative Assessment of Class I Civil Penalties Under the Clean Water Act.
