Fair Market Rents for Section 8 Housing Assistance Payments Program Fiscal Year 1996

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has published the final Fair Market Rents (FMRs) for Fiscal Year 1996, which will take effect on October 1, 1996. The FMRs are used to determine payment standards for various housing programs, including the Section 8 Rental Certificate program, and were published in response to a proposed rule that was announced in August 1995.
