New Bedford Harbor Trustee Council

NMFS, acting as Administrative Trustee, announces the intention of the New Bedford Harbor Trustee Council (Council) to request ideas for projects to restore natural resources that have been injured by the release of hazardous substances, including polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), in the New Bedford Harbor, MA, environment. Of particular interest to the Council are those projects that can be conducted prior to remediation or cleanup of the harbor environment. The ideas will be reviewed against criteria established by the Council and for legal and technical applicability. If accepted, it is possible that project ideas could form the basis for a later Council request for proposals to conduct specific restoration projects.
