EPA Approves Alaska's Oxygenated Gasoline Program

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved a State Implementation Plan (SIP) revision submitted by the State of Alaska to implement an oxygenated gasoline program in the Municipality of Anchorage, in compliance with the Clean Air Act. The approval was made to satisfy the requirement of section 211(m) of the Act, which mandates the implementation of such a program in areas with high carbon monoxide levels.
