VA Establishes Regulations for Confidentiality of Certain Medical Records

The Department of Veterans Affairs has implemented new regulations to protect the confidentiality of medical records related to drug abuse, HIV, and sickle cell anemia, as mandated by the Veterans Omnibus Health Care Act of 1976 and the Veterans' Benefits and Services Act of 1988.
