Intent To Prepare a Draft Supplement to a Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for Proposed Construction of a Water Supply Reservoir on Sugar Creek in Williamson and Johnson Counties, IL

The U.S. Army Engineer District, Louisville Corps of Engineers is initiating the preparation of a Draft Supplement to a Final EIS for a regulatory permit application from the City of Marion, Illinois. The proposed action by the City of Marion is the construction of a water supply reservoir on Sugar Creek in Williamson and Johnson Counties, Illinois by the City of Marion, Illinois. The Draft supplement will address only the alternative action of purchase of water from Rend Lake, an existing reservoir in southern Illinois.
