FDA Amends Biologics Regulations to Enhance HIV Testing for Blood Donors

The FDA is updating its regulations to require blood establishments to implement specific procedures for handling blood donations from donors who test positive for HIV, in an effort to prevent the transmission of the virus to recipients.
