OCC Guidelines Establishing Heightened Standards for Certain Large Insured National Banks, Insured Federal Savings Associations, and Insured Federal Branches; Integration of Regulations
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) is introducing new guidelines for large insured national banks, insured Federal savings associations, and insured Federal branches of foreign banks, requiring them to establish a risk governance framework and oversee its implementation. The guidelines will be enforced by a federal statute and are part of the OCC's efforts to integrate its regulations with those of the Office of Thrift Supervision.
