Service Contract Act; Labor Standards for Federal Service Contracts
The US Department of Labor is proposing new procedures for establishing minimum health and welfare benefits requirements in federal service contracts, including a variance from the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act's locality and occupational requirements. The proposal aims to address limitations in available fringe benefit data and is part of a rulemaking process set to be completed by July 31, 1996, as ordered by the US District Court for the District of Columbia.
