San Mateo County Transit District Exempted from Prior Approval for Purchase of Southern Pacific Transportation Company Rail Line

The Southern Pacific Transportation Company's rail line, known as the Dumbarton Branch, has been exempted from prior approval requirements under 49 U.S.C. 10505, allowing SamTrans to purchase the rail line and continue rail passenger commuter service on the San Francisco Peninsula without disrupting freight and intercity passenger operations.
