Cost Accounting Standards Board; Applicability for Cost Accounting Standards Coverage

The Office of Federal Procurement Policy, Cost Accounting Standards Board, revised the applicability, thresholds and procedures for the application of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) to negotiated government contracts, on Thursday, November 4, 1993 (58 FR 58798). The Board is taking action to avoid confusion with CAS requirements appearing at 48 CFR 9903.201-1, CAS applicability, and 48 CFR 9903.201- 2, Types of CAS coverage. The change addresses the current conflicting language that concerns contracts and subcontracts with foreign governments.
