OPM Finalizes Regulations to Allow Employees to Opt-Out of FERS Coverage

The Office of Personnel Management has adopted final regulations allowing federal employees to remain covered by the Federal Employees Retirement System if their agency incorrectly placed them under FERS during the opt-out period, unless they explicitly notify the agency to opt-out.
