Privacy Act; Implementation

The Federal Election Commission (``Commission'' or ``FEC'') is establishing a new system of records under the Privacy Act of 1974, ``Inspector General Investigative Files (FEC 12)'', to consist of the investigatory files of the Commission's Office of the Inspector General (``OIG''). The Commission proposes to exempt this new system of records from certain provisions of the Privacy Act of 1974 (``Act'').
