Petition for Rulemaking; Procedure for Submission

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is proposing to amend its regulations pertaining to petitions for rulemaking. The proposed changes would provide incentive to submit sufficient supporting information in petitions to facilitate more expeditious disposition by the NRC, and would also improve openness of the petition for rulemaking process by delineating priorities for review of the petitions.
