The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a new airworthiness directive (AD) for The New Piper Aircraft, Inc. (Piper) Model PA28-140 airplanes, requiring repetitive oil cooler hose replacements and inspections, and extending the applicability to include PA32 series and other PA28 series airplanes, in response to numerous incidents of oil cooler hose rupture or failure.
