Regulations for the Relicensing of Hydroelectric Projects

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is issuing notification that, on July 10, 1995, the National Hydropower Association filed a petition for rulemaking that proposes revisions in the Commission's procedures for processing applications for new licenses (relicensing) of hydroelectric projects, the licenses for which are expiring. The Commission invites all interested persons to file comments on the petition as well as the potential applicability and usefulness in this proceeding of negotiated rulemaking procedures or other means of reaching consensual resolution of the issues presented by this filing.
