Establishment of the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services

The Department of Justice is establishing a new office, the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services, to implement grant programs authorized by the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994. This office will oversee the department's internal management structure and duties of its Director.
