US Immigration Service Center Jurisdiction Change: Direct Mail Program for Texas Service Center

Starting October 1, 1994, the US Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) will identify its service centers by state location, with the Texas Service Center being the new identifier. A trial program allows employment-based immigrant and non-immigrant petitions to be filed directly with the Texas Service Center from May 5, 1995, to November 6, 1995, to analyze its processes and potentially grant exclusive jurisdiction over these petitions, except for certain exceptions.
