US Terminates Bahamas' GSP Beneficiary Status, Allows Direct Imports Through the Caribbean

The US has amended its Customs Regulations to clarify that goods from the Bahamas, a former member of the Caribbean Common Market, can be imported directly into the country, despite the termination of the Bahamas' status as a Designated Beneficiary Developing Country under the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) program.
