In settlement of alleged violations of federal law prohibiting unfair acts and practices and unfair methods of competition, this consent order prohibits, among other things, an individual doing business as The Varicose Vein Center from making various representations about any vein treatment or cosmetic surgery procedure he markets in the future unless he possesses competent and reliable scientific evidence to substantiate the claims.
