Nuclear Regulatory Commission Proposes Amendment to Add Standardized NUHOMS Horizontal Modular Storage System to List of Approved Spent Fuel Storage Casks

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is proposing to amend its regulations to add the Standardized NUHOMS Horizontal Modular Storage System to the List of Approved Spent Fuel Storage Casks, allowing holders of power reactor operating licenses to store spent fuel in this approved cask under a general license.
