Termination or Transfer of Licensed Activities: Recordkeeping Requirements

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is proposing to amend its regulations pertaining to the disposition of certain records when a licensee terminates licensed activities or licensed activities are transferred to another licensee. The proposed rule would require a licensee to transfer records pertaining to decommissioning the facility effectively, and records pertaining to public dose and waste disposal, to the new licensee if licensed activities will continue at the same location, or require the licensee to forward records pertaining to public dose and waste disposals to the NRC before the license is terminated.
