Increased Civil Penalties Under Consumer Product Safety Act and Related Laws

Congress has adjusted the maximum civil penalty amounts under the Consumer Product Safety Act, Federal Hazardous Substances Act, and Flammable Fabrics Act, increasing them to $6,000 per violation, with a cap of $1,500,000 for related series of violations.
