FAA Modifies Class D Airspace and Establishes Class E Airspace in West Virginia

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has modified the Class D airspace areas at Martinsburg and Parkersburg, West Virginia, to align with the control tower's operating hours, and established Class E airspace in these areas when the towers are closed, as well as modified the Class E airspace at Bluefield, West Virginia, to require surface-to-surface communication only when the local flight service station is open, with the goal of clarifying two-way radio communication requirements and providing adequate Class E airspace for instrument approaches.
