Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement; Effects of Changes in Aircraft Flight Patterns Over the State of New Jersey

The FAA has decided to prepare a supplement to the draft environmental impact statement (DEIS) on the effects of changes in aircraft flight patterns over the State of New Jersey caused by implementation of the Expanded East Coast Plan (EECP). As a result of the analysis phase of the comment period associated with the DEIS, new information was developed by the FAA. Additionally, new information was received from the public during the comment period. Since this information is pertinent to the decision process leading to issuance of a final EIS (FEIS), the public should have an opportunity to examine the new material and comment on it prior to completion of the FEIS. The supplemental DEIS (SDEIS) was prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Copies have been mailed to individuals that participated in the EIS process as well as to libraries in select locations throughout New Jersey.
