FAA Clarifies Policies for Letter of Intent Approvals Under Airport Improvement Program

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has clarified its policies for reviewing Letters of Intent (LOIs) under the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) or successor programs, considering factors such as project impact on national air transportation capacity, project benefits and costs, and airport sponsor financial commitment. The FAA invites public comments on the new policy, which may be revised following review of comments.
