Bonneville Power Administration Issues Record of Decision for Newberry Geothermal Pilot Project

The Bonneville Power Administration has issued a Record of Decision to purchase 20 average megawatts of electrical power from the Newberry Geothermal Pilot Project, a privately-owned geothermal power plant in Oregon, to provide billing credits to Eugene Water & Electric Board and wheeling services for transmission to their system. The project is expected to be in commercial operation by November 1997.
