CFTC Proposes New Regulations to Limit Equity Withdrawals

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission is proposing to temporarily prohibit futures commission merchants from reducing their excess adjusted net capital by 30 percent or more through equity withdrawal transactions, citing potential risks to financial integrity and customer obligations.
