FAA Cancels TSO-C65a for Airborne Radar Equipment

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has cancelled the Technical Standard Order (TSO)-C65a, which will prevent new design and production approvals for Airborne Doppler Radar Ground Speed and/or Drift Angle Measuring Equipment on air carrier aircraft. Existing TSO authorization holders will still be able to produce and install articles under their existing airworthiness approvals.
