Rolls-Royce Deutschland Ltd & Co KG Adopts New Airworthiness Directive for Certain Turbofan Engines

Rolls-Royce Deutschland Ltd & Co KG is issuing a new airworthiness directive for certain BR700-715A1-30, BR700-715B1-30, and BR700-715C1-30 turbofan engines due to a manufacturing defect in the low-pressure compressor booster rotors. The directive requires fluorescent penetrant inspections and rework or replacement of affected parts to prevent engine failure and damage to the airplane.
