The Boeing Company proposes to update its airworthiness directive for certain 737-200, -200C, -300, -400, and -500 series airplanes to improve inspection and repair procedures for fuselage lap joints, which could lead to sudden decompression if cracked. The new directive would require external and internal eddy current inspections and repair or replacement of affected stringer clips.
