NMFS Issues Permit for Leatherback Sea Turtle Research

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has issued a permit to the Southwest Fisheries Science Center (SWFSC) to conduct scientific research on leatherback sea turtles, allowing them to take the turtles for study purposes. The permit was issued to Dr. Lisa Ballance, Ph.D., at the SWFSC's La Jolla, California location.
