Sunshine Act Meeting; Open Commission Meeting; Wednesday, January 20, 2010

The US Federal Communications Commission will review a report to enhance competition in the video distribution market by implementing rules for terrestrial, cable-affiliated programming. The Commission will also consider a rule change to facilitate the DTV transition by banning the sale of devices operating in the 700 MHz frequency and setting a deadline for existing devices to vacate the band to enable public safety services and accelerate the deployment of next-generation wireless networks.
