EPA Receives Request to Amend 2-(Hydroxymethyl)-2-nitro-1,3-propanediol (Tris Nitro) Product Registrations

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has received a request from the registrant to voluntarily amend its 2-(hydroxymethyl)-2-nitro-1,3-propanediol (tris nitro) product registrations to terminate certain uses, including metalworking fluids, latex paints, and specialty industrial products, in accordance with the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). The EPA will review comments on the request before making a decision.
