EPA Amends Superfund Rule to Improve Administration and Effectiveness

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has amended its Superfund regulation to extend interim progress reports to 60 days, allowing for more flexibility in responding to Superfund State Contracts, and enabling recipients to request overpayment to be applied to other sites, primarily benefiting states, tribes, and local governments.
