Coast Guard Suspends Reporting Requirements for Barges Carrying Hazardous Materials in Inland Rivers

The Ninth Coast Guard District Commander has temporarily suspended the reporting requirements for barges carrying hazardous materials in inland rivers, allowing for further analysis of future reporting needs. This stay does not exempt towing vessel operators and area managers from their existing obligations to report hazardous cargo and vessel movements.
